About Me
My name is Dawn Ross, and Sunrise Reiki and Related Services is my business.
I'm really excited to be serving clients in a special way that's focused on wellness and personal development using the practice of Usui Reiki and other modalities.
I was first exposed to Reiki in 2019. I started receiving treatments from my sister as she was setting up her Reiki and wellness practice. At the time I ran a bookkeeping business (between 2007 and 2025) and with the many areas to manage in a growing business, I found I was always experiencing stress at some level. After a few months of receiving Reiki treatments I realized that I was experiencing an overall sense of wellbeing that I wasn't accustomed to. I kept receiving treatments, and liked the changes I felt.
In October 2022 Leslie offered Reiki Level 1 training and I jumped in! My classmates and I learned the practice of Usui Reiki, developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1920's. My certification development culminated in receiving my Third Degree Reiki / Reiki Master certification in June of 2023.
I found that all the levels of certification 'leveled up' my life in general! My outlook changed, and I really appreciated the new experience I was having. I've stayed current and continue to grow my skills since my Third Degree Reiki certification by regularly taking part in Reiki Shares and being involved in my Community. I'm also developing in reading Tarot and Palmistry. I am committed to continuous growth and development that benefits both myself and my clients.

Mission
My mission is to bring awareness to the very real health dangers of chronic high stress and to make meaningful, accessible antidotes available to everyone. I support people who stay busy in the responsibility of providing for others, yet often struggle to find the time and energy needed to recharge their own wellness.
Through community connection, both in person and online, I offer Reiki, mindfulness practices, and simple daily rituals that help people return to themselves. By encouraging small, steady shifts toward calm, clarity, and purpose, I help individuals align with their higher selves so they can thrive in their lives, their work, and the communities they serve.
